animated documentary films

Documentary filmmaking is a passionate field. The filmmakers that embark on this course have a burning desire to bring to the screen images and stories of life in all its forms , and there are many techniques employed by the writers and directors of these enlightening photoplays in crafting the heartfelt and often dramatic visions of people, lands and the many conflicts that bring the story to life for the audience.

Animation is one of these techniques that offers more than just a trick of the camera. Through animation the director can sculpt and craft the images and emotions of the vision in a very precise form. Frame by frame the director has complete control of the characters, the structure, and the view of the piece through the eye of audience.

Our anidoc database is a collection of animated documentaries. It contains details of the films and comments and quotes published about the films. It is a growing resource collection intended to be an inspiration and education for anyone interested in this field.

If you have a film that you think should be included in this database please contact us with the details.
